Discipleship in Everyday Life: How Two Students Share their Faith Everyday
April 10, 2026
Sisters Sophie and Miemie believe God purposefully puts us in places and gives opportunities to share faith in Jesus. Sophie says knowing Jesus is a gift and therefore wants to share this gift with others.
The house church Sophie and Miemie attend has had a big impact on them in how to disciple others. Miemie sees the stress her fellow students face at school, and she desires to share her faith with them to give them hope and purpose in life. Just from a simple gospel conversation on the phone, a friend of theirs accepted Christ.
The sisters hold virtual Bible studies in real time, which include Bible reading, thought-provoking questions from Mieme, Bible verses to ponder, and action steps for the week. Besides learning about the Bible, Sophie says it’s important to ask others about their lives, to show they care about them as a person.
“It’s not just about sharing faith. It’s a relationship.” This gives their friends the chance to share the ups and downs of life. The sisters can lend a listening ear and give advice when needed.
Living out their faith in practice, in everyday life—and not just in theory—is important to them. Being a Christian is their identity. Sophie encourages everyone to experience the joy of sharing the gift of Jesus.
