How a UK Mum’s Group Is Building Community and Making Disciples

Discipleship doesn’t just take place in churches, in Bible studies, or in schools. Two mums, Nikki and Charley, in Birmingham, UK are reaching out to other mums in their community through their weekly Mum’s Meet.
Nikki’s desire was to serve God in her role as a mother. Mums Meet was created to be a welcoming and loving place for mums and their children to gather. The mums have a safe space to share their stories, joys, and challenges, and even receive prayer. The kids enjoy playing with toys and interacting with each other.
One mum in particular, Louisa, has experienced peace and family-like support from this group. “I have found myself openly talking about [my faith] a lot more,” she reflects.
Mum’s Meet is a place where fellow mums get to do life together, feel like part of a family, and experience the love of Christ. Nikki joyfully shares, “Many of [the mums] step closer to Him. We’ve seen one lady come to faith, which is so encouraging.”
